Using a 14 Bolt axle makes sense. Using a C&C 14 Bolt axle also makes sense. Sometimes you have one and want the other. These brackets are for those of you that have a 14 Bolt housing and a set of C&C Hubs and want an axle in between 65" & 69". the hubs are interchangeable so it is an easy operation where you get the strength of a Full Floating 14 bolt in a narrower width. for an off road application. The SRW 14 Bolt axle is a very popular conversion and with the C&C Hubs you can get the narrower width (65”-66”) you want. The weight savings on a standard full floating 14 bolt are substantial you save well over 70lbs swapping to discs! 

Both the 14 Bolt SRW & C&C Axle is common in Chevy trucks from 1972 until today in the 3/4 to 1 ton range. It was stock on service trucks, flatbeds, crew cabs, motor homes, and even some delivery vans (Bread Vans). This is a complete kit for changing out your rear-end brakes. Changing from Drums brakes to disc brakes is easy, and all the parts you need to complete the conversion of your rear axle are included in this kit. These will only work on a 73'-87' Axle. 

Complete Kit Includes:
  • 1 Pair 14 Bolt C&C/SRW Disc Brake Brackets
  • 2 Weld on Brake Line Tabs
  • 2 Brake Line Clips
  • 2 New Brake Calipers
  • 2 Hydraulic Hoses with 10mm Banjo Bolt Fittings
  • 4 New Brake Pads
  • 2 New Rotors 

    *NOTE* If longer studs are needed, usually 14 bolt dually studs are long enough or Dormin #610-301. Double check stud diameter, these rotors require a stud with 5/8" knurled diameter with 9/16" lug diameter or they will need to be drilled for larger diameter studs. Be sure to have minimum 5/8" lug nut thread engagement)

      *NOTE* Rotor installs onto the backside of the hub!
 

      *NOTE* Don't forget to re-bleed your brakes once you've installed your new conversion kit.
 

    *NOTE* A Proportioning Valve is recommended, this will allow you to fine tune your front/rear stopping power bias. Your front axle should always do about 70% of the work.
